New Norcia Mission
A dual purpose, green to yellow to purple to black olive, small to medium in size, with a unique flavour. This variety has adapted to our environment being resistant to the cold and olive knot. Matures: Approx. May - July. Pollination: Self fertile and can be used as a pollinator. Growing Regions: Mediterranean and Temperate.
Kalamata
Producing large, shiny elongated and slightly bent black - purple Olives which can be used for pickling or oil. Matures: Approx. April - May. Pollination: Partially self fertile however, will benefit with cross pollination from Coratina, Frantoio or Koroneiki. Growing Regions: Mediterranean and Temperate. Size: Approx. H: 8 -15m
UC136A
Producing both green and black, large olives it is recommended as a processing variety only. Matures: Approx. April - May very erratic. Pollination: Other Olive varieties. Growing Regions: Mediterranean and Temperate.
Olivia Di Cerignola
Also known as Jumbo Kalamata, due to the similar shape it is a highly productive tree, producing very large green pickling Olives. It has a low rooting ability requiring good fertile land. Matures: Approx. May onwards. Pollinators: Frantoio, Leccino and Pendolino. Growing Regions: Mediterranean and Temperate.
Barouni
An easy to harvest Olive with large fruit which can be pickled green or black. Matures: Approx. April - May. Pollination: Self fertile and can be used as a pollinator. Growing Regions: Mediterranean and Temperate.
Verdale
A dual purpose, medium to large Olive. Turning from green to black when ripe. Matures: Approx. April onwards. Pollination: Self fertile. Growing Regions: Mediterranean and Temperate. Size: Approx. H: 3 - 4m W: 2m
Picholine
A consistant heavy cropping Olive producing small to medium elongated shaped Olives, light green for pickling and black for oil with a mild and fruity flavour. Matures: Approx. April - May. Pollinators: Partially self fertile however, will benefit with cross pollination from Leccino and Manzanillo. Growing Regions: Mediterranean and Temperate.
Sevillano / Queen of Spain
A very large, light green turning purplish - black Olive when ripe. Usually pickled green and has a good flavour. This variety does not like the cold, has a slow growth rate and low rooting ability requiring good fertile land. Matures: Approx. April onwards. Pollinators: Partially self fertile however, will benefit with cross pollination from Manzanillo. Growing Regions: Mediterranean and Temperate. Size: Approx. H: 8 - 11m
Manzanillo
A consistant heavy cropping, dual purpose, medium round with flat base green to black Olive. Usually pickled green and used black for oil with a rich flavour. Matures: Approx. May. Pollinators: Partially self fertile however, will benefit with cross pollination from Sevillano , Frantoio, Picual or Arbequina. Growing Regions: Mediterranean and Temperate. Size: Approx. H: 5m
Ascolana
Known for its high quality table Olives this variety produces heavy cropping, large, delicate, light green, dual purpose Olives with a unique flavour. Matures: Approx. April - May. Pollinators: Leccino, Frantoio and Pendolino. Growing Regions: Mediterranean and Temperate.
